About ULTIMATE Bangkok City Guide

ULTIMATE Bangkok City Guide is an independent guide for visitors to Bangkok, Thailand. We publish 15 curated lists: restaurants, cafés, bars, hotels, sights, museums & shows, parks, walks, shopping, spas & health, property, developments, motoring, getting around and thai islands. We cover Rattanakosin, the Riverside (Charoen Krung and Bang Rak), Silom and Sathorn, Sukhumvit, Siam and Pathumwan, Chinatown, Ari and the Thonburi riverside, with day trips to Ayutthaya, Kanchanaburi, Hua Hin, Pattaya, Khao Yai and the floating markets, and guides to ten Thai islands.

How we choose

Every place in our lists has been checked against its own website or an official source: the Tourism Authority of Thailand, royalgrandpalace.th, the Fine Arts Department, Airports of Thailand, the rail operators, the Thai government portal and the MICHELIN Guide. We never accept payment for inclusion, and we don’t publish ratings or property prices.

Before you go

Opening hours, entry rules and timetables change often, and temples and palaces can close at short notice for ceremonies. Please check directly with each place, and with official sources, before you travel. Prices are in Thai baht.
